As an organization that primarily serves event organizers, Discover Saratoga has a pretty intimate knowledge of how COVID can affect the planning process, even two years down the line.

STAYIN’ FLEXIBLE
In 2021, Discover Saratoga had to rethink its approach to holding such a large public event.
The traditional method was off the table, but as a significant revenue generator for the city, canceling was off the table, too. So Chowder Tour was born: eight days of chowder to-go or for dine-in.
This year, Chowderfest remains a week-long event with dine-in and to-go options, plus the traditional Chowderfest celebration.

MARKETING, UPDATED
This one goes hand in hand with the above. In one study, 20% of purchase
We worked with the crew at Discover Saratoga on creating consistent imagery, clear information, and flexibility in the event that things did change.
QR codes may have gotten a bad rap as useless or “boomer-y” tech in the past, but today, with a proliferation of smartphones and their use in lieu of menus during the pandemic’s hay-day, these handy graphics allow for the flexibility needed for event marketing in Saratoga and beyond.
By including them in print ads, readers are linked quickly and directly to a list of chowders and all the deets they need to know about the modified event.
We’ll See You In Saratoga: March 19-26, 2022!
