After more than a decade of churning out delicious, creative ice cream flavors at their Granby, CT shop, Grassroots Ice Cream was ready to take on the next chapter. Grocery stores, seasonal pop-ups, and additional locations were on the horizon. The Grassroots team looked to BLKDOG for a much-needed refresh to help attract attention in a rapidly growing market and introduce the brand as more than just a neighborhood favorite.

Differentiating Grassroots from other small-batch creameries and local scoop shops is easy… when you’re tasting it. But how to get new customers to reach for Grassroots in the freezer aisle? We introduced key phrasing, like “New England-style,” “Micro-batch,” and “Wicked good” to capture the brand’s approach to flavor and quality. A revitalized color palette and a fresh logo round out the project, capturing the personality from flavor development to the freezer.
